![]() ![]() He writes from the perspectives of both African-American Carter and British-American Sadie, two kids not even fifteen years old who are brilliantly witty, smart yet have very unique voices. In this series, however, you get to see a different style of writing from Riordan because he is tackling two characters at once. ![]() So far, I’ve been very much used to reading from the point of view of his Greek demigod hero, Percy Jackson, who I have adored reading from the point of view of for a long time. ![]() There’s not much about Rick Riordan’s writing that I haven’t gushed about before because he, in my opinion, just has a way of writing in a voice that young people can relate to. Rick Riordan’s books never disappoint me, and this new trilogy looks set to be amazing. ![]() Having to learn how to use their new abilities quickly, it’s up to Carter and Sadie to not only save their father but also the entire world from the Chaos god Set. Following a similar theme to his other series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the Kane Chronicles follows a pair of preteen siblings as they discover that the gods of Ancient Egypt are very much real and that they are the next generation of their family capable of hosting the gods Isis and Horus. The Red Pyramid is the first novel in a children’s fantasy series by Rick Riordan first published in 2010. ![]()

![]() Jonas and Lucia also disappeared and I would have liked to see how their relationship developed. The ending was magnificent, of course, because Magnus and Lucia survived and remarried each other but again, it was just mentioned and not expanded upon and I really wanted that for my own closure. Also, the other smaller quests, like Lucia looking for her daughter or Jonas finally realizing his destiny and where he fit in the space between the kindred and his world was just rushed as well. ![]() Maybe that was just me but it felt shortened. The climax of the book where the kindred were taking Cleo, Nic (and then Magnus), Olivia and Taran hostage was intense but I felt like the intensity was dimmed and could have been expanded more. I feel like the author could have done well with adding some events from this book back onto the 5th book or maybe separating this book into two and that way, she could have expanded more on the events. ![]() The only negative part about this book was that the ending felt a bit rushed. Though it was tough and though the author made it seem like major characters were in peril, I felt like the ending was very satisfactory. ![]() Spoilers for the last book in the series are ahead! This book just left me so happy inside. The much-anticipated final book in the fantastic series that is the Falling Kingdom series starts off with character peril and quite the satisfying conclusion to the series. ![]() ![]() And that makes her very dangerous indeed. It was after the success of her four Twilight books, and at the height of the book and movie craze in 2008, that the bulk of the work on Stephenie Meyer’s Midnight Sun was written, until a draft of over a third of the book was leaked online without the author’s knowledge. This news may come as a surprise to Twilight fans since the author previously said the only Twilight book she’d consider writing is "three paragraphs on my blog saying which of the characters died.” Yikes! Back in 2013, Meyer also told Variety that her vampire-bitten world was “not a happy place to be.” Stephanie Meyer teased two more Twilight books could be coming during an online event for US bookstore chain Books-A-Million, per The Guardian. ![]() Heres to you and your meager advances, your moderate print runs, your ability to walk the streets unmobbed by screaming teenagers, your dedication to a low-paying (but oh so valuable) cause. ![]() I am not ready to do that right now, I want to do something brand new. The popular franchise centered on a vampire and teenage human falling in love grew to become a cult phenomenon after it was adapted for the 2008 film of the same name starring Robert Pattinson. And so I lift my cap to the non-Rowlings and non-Meyers of the world. Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer was released on Aug. I have got them outlined and a chapter written I think of the first one, so I know it’s there. In 2008, Stephanie Meyer, the author, announced she would be writing a companion novel from. There are two more books I think in the world that I want to write. ![]() ![]() This unforgettable tale, as told through Edward's eyes, takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. At last, readers can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. ![]() ![]() But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. It was officially released on August 4, 2020. In May 2020, despite previously abandoning the manuscript, Meyer announced the release date of Midnight Sun via an internet announcement. Midnight Sun allows fans to know more about the Cullens as vampires and a family. To give them a better feel of Edward's character, Meyer allowed Catherine Hardwicke, the director of the film adaptation of Twilight, and Robert Pattinson, the actor who plays Edward, to read some completed chapters of the novel while they were filming the movie. Meyer has stated that Twilight is the only possible book from the series that she plans to rewrite from Edward's perspective. It started as a simple character exercise, with a single chapter from Edward's perspective, but she came to realize she had to do the whole book. It is a retelling of the events of Twilight from the perspective of Edward Cullen as opposed to that of Bella Swan. ![]() Midnight Sun is a companion novel to the book Twilight by author Stephenie Meyer. ![]() |
